O - W E E K ! ! ! Not really. I wasn’t around during orientation week. This was taken a week later. We fashion photography students had a little-impromptu “tutorial” outside of class. Nice outdoor area at RMIT’s new design hub building.
Check out behind the scenes of Adele’s VOGUE March 2012. She is truly beautiful inside and out. She stays grounded and true to herself and young girls should look up to her for inspiration. Keep believing in yourselves and dreams do come true with a bit of hard work and a little of luck.
19TH FEBRUARY 2012 / 8.02AM / ON THE FLIGHT TO MELBOURNE:
7 hours into the flight and I look out my window for the third time since boarding the plane. Didn’t sleep much through the journey, maybe a few minutes here and there. I remember seeing the most BEAUTIFUL night skies I’ve ever seen in my entire life.
It was about maybe 4AM and the cabin was pitch black, darker than the night skies outside. I looked out and I literally saw hundreds if not thousands of stars in the sky. I thought I was dreaming. After 40hours of playing Mass Effect 2, I finally know what it’s like to look out of the Normandy. Only gamers would know what I’m talking about there.
I forgot what it’s like to take my out camera and shoot out the window of an A-330 and this is what I got. Nothing new except for the second airline flying next to us a few miles out (2nd photo). Seeing that was a first for me.
monpoul3t asked - "Hey I really like your photos! Just one wondering, do you shoot with a Nikon D300s? If so, can you tell me if it's a worthy upgrade from a Nikon D5100? The lack of dedicated control buttons on my camera bother the hell outta me, and it causes me to miss that perfect moment because I'd always have to shuffle through a myriad of menus just to change one setting. Haha anyway, have a good day!"
Hey yourself. Thanks man. Glad you like my photos. I appreciate that. To simply answer your question, YES. I do use a D300s, but it can’t be compared to the D5100 as it is only a entry level DSLR whereas the D300s is a semi-pro DSLR. For the D300s, you can control everything from the outside. No more having to flip through the sometimes complicating menus to change the settings like ISO, WB (white balance), “scene” modes, image format, image resolution etc. It is simple to use and more importantly QUICK. Hope this helps. You have an awesome day ahead and happy new year.
These photos were taken a few days before I left Melbourne last month. It was in Federation Square where I hung out with Rena (@renatooweishan) one later afternoon. Lucky for the storm that hit Melbourne that day came just after we left the place.
I sprained my ankle earlier today while playing futsal with a bunch of noobs. No, they didn’t cause my injury but they sure as hell caused the little migraine I had during the game. Anyways, now I’m out for at least three to five days from doing any form of vigorous activities, which means no football, no running and no gym. At least for the moment, I’ll pretend I’m Dr. House (Hugh Laurie) walking around with a limp and possibly with a cane ;-)
It’s a Sunday and I spent half of it catching up with an old friend. Erdi a.k.a Jambu (the dude in the vintage shirt). Hahaha. Damn I miss that guy. He was my partner in creative arts during high school well over 4 years ago. We meet up at a friend’s restaurant before heading to another friend’s place in Bangsar. Oh that second last photo. That’s Erdi. He got overzealous with a blade while working on his current artwork. It bled out like a squeezed ketchup bottle ;-)
